Saw this newly open restaurant at Balakong (near Jusco Chears Selatan). Sekinchan is actually a small town in Sabak Bernam. I didn't know Sekinchan is famous for ikan bakar(grill fish), I thought the place is famous for padi field instead.
The atmosphere is very nice. Many people, very lively crowd, friendly staff - feels like fish market minus the fishy market smell.
Depending on the seafood, most item are usually Rm7/100gm. Other are determined by market price. Remember, they have rules and regulation!
- Remember your own table number.
- You are not allowed to change table after making orders! (they are right)
They have only white rice, nasi lemak and kerabu (vegetable). There is no other fried food such as fried rice or mee.
Time to review about the food. The sauce & gravy are not spicy. The fish are tasteless without the sauce. Yes we should enjoy the freshness of the seafood but my cuttle fish and kerang as not fresh. Texture is like frozen for weeks. The fish are not dry and crispy. Its more like being steam. Sigh.. total dissapoinment. Jalan Alor grill fish is even better.
Should you try? No. Better go eat ikan bakar at normal warong or food court.
